The upcoming Leica M Monochrom Typ 246 camera to have a new 24MP CMOS sensor?
I am not sure about the authenticity of the picture above that is floating on the Internet, but I think we can be pretty sure that the upcoming Leica M Monochrom Typ 246 camera will have a 24MP CMOS sensor.

Leica will have a new product “on display” during the Paris Photo event in LA
According to Leica's website, during the Paris Photo fair in LA (May 1-3, 2015) there will be a "new product" on display. If this is the new Monochrom (I seriously doubt it), the camera will be only on display - the official announcement will most likely happen later.

The new Leica M Monochrom Typ 246 camera will not be announced tomorrow
Several websites are reporting that the new Leica M Monochrom Typ 246 camera will be announced tomorrow. I don't think this will happen. I could be wrong, but there is a pattern of events that happens before a big Leica announcement and I don't see any of that right now. Like I already mentioned a week ago, I expect the announcement to be in 30-60 days.
You still may want to mark May 1st on your calendar and visit LeicaRumors because I will have some good news to report for Leica shooters.
